The NumaScan Hardware: Clinical-Grade Intracellular Sensing
The Evolution of the Sensor
The foundation of our analysis is based on a high-precision, portable spectrophotometer originally developed for medical and industrial grade material analysis.
For years, the industry standard was the Model 1 (an X-Rite compatible device). This hardware was CE Medical Approved (#0499), a rigorous European certification for medical devices, until the manufacturer discontinued production in 2019.
Introducing the Spyder Technology

At NumaThrive, we utilize the Spyder sensor.
The Spyder is the modern successor to the Model 1, engineered with the exact same foundational spectrophotometry technology. It uses high-intensity LEDs and a specialized optical sensor to “read” the elemental concentrations within your tissue.
By moving to the Spyder, we maintain the same clinical accuracy and non-invasive experience that has made this technology a staple for high-level health practitioners worldwide.
Why This Hardware is Different
Traditional lab testing requires physical samples (blood, hair, or urine) which must be shipped, processed, and chemically analyzed. Our hardware changes the paradigm:
Non-Invasive Sensing: There are no needles and no pain. The Spyder uses light, not chemicals, to interrogate the tissue.
Instant Data Capture: The hardware captures the optical density of 36+ minerals and metals in seconds, sending the raw data directly to our signal processing software for immediate translation.
Intracellular Depth: Unlike superficial skin scanners, the Spyder is calibrated to measure light absorption 4mm deep into the dermis, bypassing the surface layers to reach the intracellular matrix.
Engineering Precision
The Spyder is a “witness” to your biology. It doesn’t interpret data—it captures it with mathematical neutrality. This hardware is designed for the high-performer who demands hard evidence before taking action. It provides the “Intracellular Truth” that serves as the baseline for your entire evolution roadmap.
